Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses all three bullet points, but the development of ideas is insufficient. The letter is significantly under the 150-word minimum, which limits the depth of your explanation regarding why you are suitable and how you would spend your free time. For example, your mention of working in a 'kinder garden' is relevant but lacks detail about your specific responsibilities. Similarly, your plans for free time are vague. To improve, you must expand on your experiences and provide more descriptive details to meet the length requirement and fully develop your ideas.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The letter follows a basic logical structure, using simple transition words like 'Firstly', 'In addition', and 'Finally' to organize the points. However, the paragraphing is not effectively used, as the response is essentially a series of short, disconnected sentences. The flow between ideas is somewhat mechanical. To achieve a higher band, you should aim to group related ideas into well-structured paragraphs and use a wider variety of cohesive devices to link your sentences more naturally, rather than relying on a simple list-like structure.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, which restricts your ability to convey your suitability for the role effectively. You use basic terms like 'good match' and 'take care'. There are also some errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'kinder garden' (kindergarten) and 'regare' (regards). To improve, you should incorporate more precise, topic-specific vocabulary related to childcare and professional correspondence. Expanding your range of adjectives and verbs will help you express your qualifications and enthusiasm more clearly and professionally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response relies heavily on simple sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity, such as 'I fond of this job' (I am fond of) and 'I have experienced in this field' (I have experience). Additionally, there are missing articles and incorrect verb forms, such as 'work an kinder garden' and 'can handle them'. While the meaning is generally understandable, the lack of complex sentence structures and the frequency of basic grammatical errors prevent a higher score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions.
