Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

You have addressed all three bullet points of the task: explaining your interest, detailing your suitability, and describing your free time. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For example, your explanation of why you would be a suitable person is brief, and the section regarding your free time is slightly confusing, as you describe what you currently do rather than what you would do while in Australia. To improve, ensure that each point is fully expanded with more specific details to demonstrate your suitability and future plans more clearly.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The letter is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the flow between sentences is often disjointed due to a lack of cohesive devices. You rely heavily on simple sentence structures, which makes the progression of ideas feel mechanical. There are also issues with punctuation, such as the lack of full stops between thoughts, which hinders the logical flow. Using transition words like 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in addition' would help connect your ideas more effectively and improve the overall readability of your letter.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is quite basic and repetitive. You use terms like 'job' and 'children' frequently. There are also some errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'advertise' instead of 'advertisement', 'Nani' instead of 'nanny', and 'reassume' instead of 'resume'. To achieve a higher band score, try to incorporate more varied and precise vocabulary related to childcare and professional correspondence. For instance, instead of saying 'I know every little thing', you could use 'I possess comprehensive knowledge of child development'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the letter, including issues with verb tenses ('i done early childhood Couse'), subject-verb agreement, and missing articles. Many sentences are run-on or lack proper punctuation, which makes them difficult to follow. While you attempt some complex ideas, the lack of control over basic grammar structures significantly impacts clarity. Focusing on mastering simple sentence construction and ensuring correct verb forms will help you communicate your message more accurately. Proofreading for basic errors like capitalization of 'I' and sentence endings is essential.
