IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You have seen an advertisement in an Australian magazine for someone to live with a family for six months and look after their six-year-old child.

Write a letter to the parents. In your letter

• explain why you would like the job
• give details of why you would be a suitable person to employ
• say how you would spend your free time while you are in Australia

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter regarding the job posted in Australian magazine.

I am very much interested in this job because I like spending time with kids. Moreover, I prefer to stay with people instead of living alone. In addition to that your address is near to my university which saves my travel time.

I have a lot of the experience living with large family. My own family consists of 8 members includes two toddlers and I lived with them for years before I moved out for my college studies. I took care of my siblings countless times in the absence of my parents.

As I am a sports person, In my free time I play cricket and sometimes I go for a walk to breath fresh air. Also, I have a habit of participating as local non profit community events.

I will be looking forward for your response.
