IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You have seen an advertisement in an Australian magazine for someone to live with a family for six months and look after their six-year-old child.

Write a letter to the parents. In your letter

• explain why you would like the job
• give details of why you would be a suitable person to employ
• say how you would spend your free time while you are in Australia

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Mr Smith,

I'm planning to express my interest to stay for six months and look after your six months old child while you away from home. I would pretty comfortable with child specially in the school ages.

I have been working as primary school teacher for 10 years experience with bachelor degree. Also i live in very close to your house and i can drive and have a car which is more beneficial for specially children would be getting sick very easily.

In this summer vacation, I'm totally free to stay with your child and can assist school work as well as extra curriculum activities. More over, in the weekend there are special events has planned for the children under 10years. In this case i can take him to that special event and build more confident and good relationship with him.

I hope that I'm the best person for your child and I'm looking forward to good hear from you.
