IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You have seen an advertisement in an Australian magazine for someone to live with a family for six months and look after their six-year-old child.

Write a letter to the parents. In your letter

• explain why you would like the job
• give details of why you would be a suitable person to employ
• say how you would spend your free time while you are in Australia

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to express my interest in the job. I have seen your advertisement in an Australian magazine. There are several reasons which show my interest in the job.

The main reason is that I am looking to gain foreign experience and your job will give me that opportunity. Plus you are looking for six months only which will give me the time to analyse whether the Australia is a good option for me or not.

I have done a personal support worker course. Moreover, I have an experience of two years in India. Even I am ready for a six month contract for your safety.

In addition to this, I am a nature loving person which will help me to explore Australia in my free time. Also I am good in cooking because of my culinary skills. I can also make some Indian food for all of us in my leisure time.

I hope you will consider my application.
