Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The letter covers all three bullet points required by the prompt. You clearly explain your motivation, provide relevant personal details regarding your suitability, and describe your plans for your free time. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter to a family. However, the development of ideas is somewhat brief. For instance, while you mention your knowledge of children's diseases, providing a specific example or qualification would have strengthened your candidacy. Overall, the response is well-focused and addresses the requirements of the task effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The letter is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a formal conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Additionally', and 'Therefore' to link your ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the paragraphing could be more refined to ensure a smoother flow between your suitability and your future plans. The use of referencing is generally clear, and the letter follows a standard formal structure, which helps the reader navigate your points easily.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'stunning', 'consideration', and 'in-depth'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'die-heart wish' (should be 'heartfelt wish') and 'compute course' (should be 'computer course'). Additionally, 'an Australia' is grammatically incorrect. While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, you need to work on more natural collocations and precise word forms to reach a higher band score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'interest to look after' (interest in looking after), 'I would like to this job' (I would like this job), and 'a extensive' (an extensive). The use of articles is inconsistent, and there are minor punctuation issues. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage will significantly improve your accuracy.
