Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the development of the required points. While you have addressed all three bullet points—explaining your interest, your suitability, and your free-time plans—the ideas are underdeveloped. For instance, the explanation of your suitability is brief, and the description of your free time lacks detail regarding how these activities relate to your stay in Australia. To improve, you must expand on each point with more specific examples or context to ensure the response is fully developed and meets the length requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The letter lacks a clear structure. The paragraphing is inconsistent, and the transition between ideas is abrupt. While you use some basic cohesive devices like 'therefore' and 'also', the flow of the letter is disjointed. The opening and closing are not fully integrated into a standard letter format. To improve, ensure you use clear paragraph breaks for each main point and employ a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in addition') to connect your ideas more logically and improve the overall progression of the text.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is somewhat repetitive and basic. Phrases like 'job research' and 'take car of' (which contains a spelling error) are simplistic. There is a lack of variety in your word choice, and some collocations are unnatural, such as 'perfect option' instead of 'ideal candidate'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise, topic-specific vocabulary related to childcare and professional applications. Avoid repeating simple words and try to incorporate more sophisticated synonyms to demonstrate a broader range of language.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent errors in grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure throughout the text. Examples include 'i found a job of a care giver' (missing articles and capitalization), 'as currently i have been graduated' (incorrect tense usage), and 'well being' (incorrect word form). The sentence structures are mostly simple, with limited attempts at complex sentences. To improve, focus on basic grammatical accuracy, such as subject-verb agreement, correct tense usage, and proper capitalization of the pronoun 'I'. Increasing the variety of your sentence structures will also help improve your score.
