Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

You have addressed all three bullet points required by the task. You explained your motivation for the job, highlighted your suitability through your experience with children and meal preparation, and described your plans for your free time. The ideas are relevant and clearly presented. To reach a higher band, you could provide more specific examples of your experience, such as mentioning a specific age group or type of activity you have facilitated, rather than using general terms like 'some activities'. Overall, the response is well-focused and meets the requirements of the task effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each addressing a specific part of the prompt. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'I also', 'because', and 'through this' to link your ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes a bit mechanical. To improve, try using a wider variety of linking words and transition phrases to create a more natural progression of ideas. For instance, instead of starting multiple sentences with 'I', you could vary your sentence structure to improve the overall flow and cohesion of your paragraphs.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using words like 'opportunity', 'responsible', and 'development'. However, there are some spelling errors ('looing', 'chlidren', 'feww', 'hearinf') and minor word choice issues, such as 'make a friendship' instead of 'build a rapport' or 'make friends'. While these errors do not impede communication, they limit your score. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure you proofread your work to catch simple spelling mistakes that detract from the professional tone of your letter.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles (e.g., 'the Australia', 'a young child'), subject-verb agreement, and the consistent failure to capitalize the pronoun 'I'. These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your message. To move to a higher band, you should focus on consistent control of basic grammar, such as article usage and capitalization, and attempt to incorporate more varied complex sentence structures with greater accuracy.
