You have seen an advertisement in an Australian magazine for someone to live with a family for six months and look after their six-year-old child.

Write a letter to the parents. In your letter

• explain why you would like the job
• give details of why you would be a suitable person to employ
• say how you would spend your free time while you are in Australia

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I hope you are in good health. I am writing this letter to apply for the position to take-care six-year-old child that you published in yesterday's Australian magazine.

I would like to have this position because I am an immigrant here and looking for a suitable place to live and a job. You are offering both at the same time, so it will give me plenty of time to settle in Australia while managing my expenses.

I am a suitable candidate for this position as I love spending time with children, and I have completed my qualification as 'Early Childhood Educator' from India. Furthermore, I have one year of experience in child care sector from my home country. These qualities make me a good fit for the position.

In my free time, I would like to explore Australia as I am new here and I know very little about the country. Apart from that, I am looking to join the dance classes because I am really passionate about dancing.
