I am writting this letter to show my interest for the job posting in the local magazine. I think i am the best person for this job because of my education and experience. Moreover, i am very friendly nuture and i always treat kids like my own childrens. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all three bullet points required by the task. You explained your interest in the job, provided details about your qualifications and experience, and described how you would spend your free time. However, the development of these points is somewhat limited. For example, your description of how you would spend your free time is brief and slightly confusing, as you mention 'when I was free in Australia' (past tense) rather than describing your future intentions. To improve, ensure you expand on your ideas with more specific details to fully satisfy the requirements of a formal letter.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter follows a logical progression, moving from your interest in the role to your qualifications and finally your free time. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'Secondly' to link your ideas. However, the paragraphing is insufficient; the text is presented as a single block, which makes it harder to read. Additionally, some transitions feel a bit mechanical. To reach a higher band, ensure you use clear paragraph breaks for each main point and vary your linking words to create a more natural flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'early childhood education', 'internship', and 'practical skills'. However, there are several word choice errors and inaccuracies, such as 'friendly nuture' (should be 'nurturing nature'), 'youngers' (should be 'younger children' or 'youth'), and 'co-up' (likely meant 'co-op'). These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, but they do limit the precision of your writing. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise collocations would improve your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. Common issues include capitalization errors (e.g., 'i' instead of 'I'), spelling mistakes ('writting', 'realated'), and tense inconsistencies, such as using the past tense 'was' when describing future plans in Australia. While these errors rarely impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the overall quality of the writing. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage will help you improve significantly.
