You have seen an advertisement in an Australian magazine for someone to live with a family for six months and look after their six-year-old child.

Write a letter to the parents. In your letter

• explain why you would like the job
• give details of why you would be a suitable person to employ
• say how you would spend your free time while you are in Australia

Dear Sir or Madam,

I recently came across your advertisement in an Australian magazine andI am writing to express my interest in applying for this position. I am 24-year-old female and I am currently pursuing my pediatric internship in Australia.

Being in the pediatric department, I constantly work with children. I also have experience as a nanny for over 2 years. My work location is closer from this place. My internship is a six-month program, and I would therefore like to apply for this position, as it aligns well with my requirements. I am an energetic young women, and I can very well take care of six-year-old child. I use to work in day care and help kids with their day to day activities such as keeping them entertained, follow their sleep cycle, their food schedule, and helping take care of small house chores while they are sleeping. Since I am new to Australia, during my free time I would like to explore tourist areas.

I am attaching my resume and portfolio along with this letter. I would be happy to provide more details or references from my previous experience. It would be my pleasure to work with your family. I Look forward for your response.
