Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, reaching only 91 words. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed. While you introduce yourself and mention your medical background, you fail to complete the third bullet point regarding how you would spend your free time in Australia. Furthermore, the letter is incomplete, ending abruptly mid-sentence. To improve, you must ensure all three bullet points are fully developed with sufficient detail and that the letter follows a standard structure with a proper closing. The current length significantly limits your ability to demonstrate the required task completion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The letter lacks a clear structure due to its unfinished state. While you use some basic cohesive devices like 'Furthermore' and 'Moreover', the progression of ideas is interrupted by the abrupt ending. There is no clear paragraphing to separate the different requirements of the task. To improve, you should organize your response into distinct paragraphs: one for the introduction, one for each bullet point, and a concluding paragraph. Ensure that your ideas flow logically from one point to the next using a variety of linking words rather than relying on the same transition markers.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for basic communication but lacks the range and precision required for a higher band score. You use repetitive phrasing such as 'work' and 'worker'. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'medical worker since last seven years'. To improve, try to incorporate more specific professional terminology related to childcare and nursing. Avoid repeating the same nouns and verbs; instead, use synonyms to demonstrate a broader lexical range. Focus on using more natural collocations to describe your professional experience.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains several grammatical errors that affect the flow of the text. For example, 'I am medical worker since last seven years' should be 'I have been a medical worker for the last seven years'. There are also issues with article usage and tense consistency. You rely mostly on simple sentence structures. To improve, you should practice using a wider variety of complex sentence structures, such as relative clauses or conditional sentences. Pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions and articles to ensure your writing is more accurate.
