Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.5

The response attempts to cover all parts of the prompt, including the reason for wanting the job, relevant experience, and how free time would be spent in Australia. However, the development of these ideas is extremely limited and repetitive, as seen when the writer states 'Therefore, I would like to do this job' multiple times. Furthermore, the task is significantly under length, containing only 107 words compared to the minimum requirement of 150 words. This severe under-length prevents full development of the bullet points and directly impacts the task achievement score, leading to a band 4.5 evaluation.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The letter is structured with very short paragraphs, some consisting of only a single sentence, which disrupts the logical flow and progression. Cohesive devices are largely absent or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'So' and 'Therefore' to link simple sentences. Paragraphing is not used effectively to group related ideas together. While the general meaning of each paragraph can be understood, the overall organization is disjointed and lacks cohesion, which aligns with a band 5.0 descriptor.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used throughout the letter is very basic, repetitive, and restricted to everyday terms, such as 'job', 'do', and 'time'. There are noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, for example writing 'relevent experience of this job' instead of 'relevant experience for this role', and spelling mistakes like 'relevent'. The range of vocabulary is barely adequate to communicate the basic message, and the frequent repetition of phrases like 'do this job' reflects a very limited lexical resource, fitting a band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The text displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, consisting mainly of simple sentences and repetitive clauses. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as fragment sentences ('As I have done ECE Early Childhood Course two years ago'), preposition errors ('in during this time'), and punctuation issues. While the meaning remains mostly discernible, the high frequency of basic errors and the lack of complex sentence control mean the response cannot reach a higher band, justifying a score of 5.0.
