IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You have seen an advertisement in an Australian magazine for someone to live with a family for six months and look after their six-year-old child.

Write a letter to the parents. In your letter

• explain why you would like the job
• give details of why you would be a suitable person to employ
• say how you would spend your free time while you are in Australia

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to request you to hire me as your 6 year old child's care taker. I have seen your advertisement in an Australian magazine. I am looking for this kind of job only as my college will be over in a week and I am taking a break for a year to prepare for my post graduation. Also, I want to save some money for my further studies.

I also have some experience in baby sitting. I did this last year during my internship semester. I helped a beautiful family with their 5 year old son and 2 year old daughter. They were quite impressed with me. I can share all the details for the cross checking if it is required.

I would really appreciate if you will consider my request. I look forward to hearing from you soon.Thank you for your precious time.
