You have seen an advertisement in an Australian magazine for someone to live with a family for six months and look after their six-year-old child.

Write a letter to the parents. In your letter

• explain why you would like the job
• give details of why you would be a suitable person to employ
• say how you would spend your free time while you are in Australia

Dear Madam,

I hope this letter finds you well.

I am formally writing in response of an advertisement published in an Australian magazine yesterday. I would like to apply for this job because I have an experience of looking after children as I have worked in a day care for 2 years. Moreover, I moved to the Australia one year ago and it would be great for me to live with the local family and learn the culture of the country.

I am very calm and organized person and have the ability to understand the issue and resolve it. Moreover, I can help you out with your daily chores, help you purchasing things from the supermarket as I have international driving license. Furthermore, I assist you to looking after your garden. In addition, I can teach your six years old how to organize the things, clean the mess after playing, help her making small meals for her.

As I am new to the Australia, I spend my free time visiting new places, dine in Australian cuisine and reading books. I am looking forward to you hearing a positive response from you.
