Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 2.5

The letter begins to address the purpose by saying you saw the job in an Australian magazine and are interested because it suits you. However, it does not explain in any detail why you want to care for this particular child, and the claim “I have experience in this” is not supported with examples or relevant qualifications. The required point about how you would spend your free time in Australia is entirely missing. The response is also substantially below the required 150 words, so there is not enough development to fulfil the task. To improve, cover all three bullet points explicitly and add specific details, such as childcare duties you have handled and activities you would enjoy in Australia.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is a basic sequence: a greeting, an opening about the advertisement, and a brief statement of interest and experience. This gives the reader a general sense of the letter’s purpose. However, the response is presented as one continuous block, with no clear development of the separate points in the task. The sentence beginning “Which I get in the Australain magzain” is detached from the preceding sentence, making the connection between ideas unclear. The repeated reference to liking and recommending the job also does not advance the message. Use separate paragraphs for your motivation, suitability, and free-time plans, and connect complete sentences with clear, accurate linking phrases.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The response uses a small set of relevant words, including “job,” “suitable,” “interested,” and “experience,” so the general topic is identifiable. However, the vocabulary is limited and some choices or spellings make the letter less clear or less natural. For example, “informed about a job” is not the appropriate expression here; “to express my interest in the position” would be more suitable. “Radiant health” and “best spirite” are also unnatural in this context, while “Australian magazine” is misspelled. Build a wider range of childcare and employment vocabulary, such as “look after,” “responsible,” and “previous childcare experience,” and check spelling before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

There are attempts to form more than one kind of sentence, including the use of “because” and “however,” and the reader can understand the basic message. However, sentence boundaries and clause structure are not consistently controlled. “I am writing this letter to you for informed about a job” has an incorrect verb pattern, and “Which I get in the Australain magzain” is a fragment rather than a complete sentence. The opening also lacks a clear main clause after “Hopeing you will be fine.” Practise writing complete sentences with a subject and verb, and use patterns such as “I am writing to express my interest in the position advertised in your magazine.” Punctuate and connect clauses carefully.
