Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

You address the reasons for wanting the job and give a basic reason you may be suitable, mentioning that you love children and have experience handling them. However, the response only partially fulfils the task: it does not explain what that experience involves, and it omits the required details about how you would spend your free time in Australia. The statement that you are “free in Australia nowadays” does not describe any activities. The letter is also 17 words below the required minimum, leaving little room to develop the points. To improve, cover all three bullet points explicitly, add specific supporting details, and use an appropriate closing such as “Yours faithfully.”

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The ideas follow a generally understandable order: you refer to the advertisement, explain your interest, and then give a reason you could be suitable. Basic linking words such as “Furthermore” and “because” help connect some points. However, the response is presented as one block, so the reader does not see clear stages in the letter, and the final request for the job feels abrupt. Some connections are also repetitive, particularly the repeated statements that you want the job. Use separate paragraphs for your interest, suitability, and free-time plans, then finish with a polite closing. This would create clearer progression and make the letter easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use enough basic vocabulary to communicate the general purpose of the letter, including “experience,” “suitable,” and “handling children.” However, the range is limited and some expressions are unnatural or imprecise, such as “these kind jobs,” “a type of connection,” and “utilize my this time.” There are also spelling and word-form errors, including “advertisment,” “youy,” and “Thankyou,” which reduce accuracy. Aim for more natural phrases suited to a formal application, such as “I am interested in the position” and “I would use my free time to explore Australia.” Proofread carefully for spelling and choose precise collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You communicate mainly through simple sentences, and some are grammatically clear, for example, “I love kids so much and admire them too.” You also attempt to connect ideas with “because” and “and,” showing some sentence variety. However, control is uneven: “I already had experience with it” uses an unsuitable tense, while “I want to utilize my this time” has an incorrect word order. The opening question-like phrase, “I hope you will be doing alright,” is also awkwardly formed for this context. Practise accurate articles, tense choices, and word order, and use a wider range of sentence patterns while checking each sentence for a clear grammatical structure.
