Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You address the main purpose by expressing interest in caring for the child and mentioning two years of childcare experience. However, the response does not fully cover the requested details: the reason for wanting this particular six-month position is vague, and you do not explain how you would spend your free time in Australia. The line about visiting the child when free does not answer that point. Your suitability is asserted through promises such as “I will love him,” but would be more convincing with specific evidence, such as duties you handled or qualities relevant to caring for a six-year-old. The letter also needs a more appropriate opening and a clear closing. These omissions leave the task only partially addressed, despite some relevant information.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is a basic sequence: you introduce your interest, describe some childcare experience, and offer reassurance about caring for the child. This gives the reader a general sense of your purpose. However, the ideas run together in one long paragraph, with little separation between motivation, suitability, and free-time plans. Connections such as “and,” “also,” and “whenever” are repeated or do not clearly show how ideas relate. The ending, “That’s all about me,” does not provide a natural conclusion to a formal application letter. Organise the response into short paragraphs matching the three bullet points, and use clear transitions and references so each point is easy to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant vocabulary for the situation, including “taking care,” “babies caretaker,” and “experience,” and the reader can understand your general interest in childcare. However, the range is limited and several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “wealthy” for a job that pays well, “most loving person,” and “innocent creature of the god.” Repetition of “babies” and “love” also limits precision. Spelling and informal forms such as “intersting,” “bcz,” and “befire” weaken the overall impression. Aim for clear, natural expressions suited to a letter to prospective employers, such as “childcare experience,” “responsible and caring,” and “earn an income.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example, “I have also a experience of this job bcz befire this i had been the babies caretaker for 2 years,” but sentence structures and verb forms are often inaccurate. Examples include “I have also a experience,” “I had been the babies caretaker,” and “whenever i will be free,” where articles, tense, and conditional time forms need correction. Subject–verb agreement and sentence boundaries also require attention, as in “The babies are angel” and the run-on passage beginning “i will give them a love.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses—for example, “I have two years’ experience caring for young children, and I would be happy to provide references.”
