Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the three requested points: you say you want the job because you like children, mention experience working in a care home, and describe gaming and YouTube streaming as free-time activities. These details are relevant, but they are brief and do not fully establish your suitability for caring for a six-year-old; for example, you could explain what childcare skills or responsibilities your care-home work involved. The free-time point is also framed mainly as reassurance that you will not disturb the family, rather than explaining how you would enjoy your time in Australia. Your intention to apply is present, although the closing promise is unclear. Develop each point with specific, relevant details and make your purpose consistently clear.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The letter follows a broadly sensible order: you refer to the advertisement, explain your interest and experience, then mention free time and close politely. However, most information is packed into one long paragraph, so the reader has to work to separate the three task points. Linking is also repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “and” and “so,” while the shift from your free-time plans to “I am very thankful” feels abrupt. The opening and closing are identifiable, but the letter would be easier to follow if you used separate paragraphs for your application, suitability, and free-time plans, with clearer transitions between them.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use a small set of relevant words, including “experience,” “care home,” “free time,” and “look after your child,” so the main message can be understood. However, vocabulary is limited and several spelling or word-choice errors make the letter less clear or less appropriate for a formal application. Examples include “magzine,” “chilidren,” “distrub,” and “descison.” Phrases such as “i would good take care of it” and “grant mein permission to leave with you” do not express your meaning naturally. Choose accurate childcare and application vocabulary, and check spelling carefully. A more formal register would also help you sound suitable for writing to prospective employers.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts to connect ideas in longer sentences, but sentence structures are limited and many contain errors that make the reader pause. For example, “i loves chilidren to much” has problems with subject–verb agreement and sentence construction, while “in free time i plays games” also has an agreement error. The opening fragment, “Hope so u are fine,” is not a complete, natural sentence, and the long sentence beginning “So i want to tell u” joins several ideas without clear punctuation. Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent throughout. Practise writing complete sentences with accurate subject–verb agreement, then use full stops to separate each main idea.
