Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
You identify the advertised six-month childcare position and give a relevant reason for your suitability: a degree in early childhood education, two years’ experience, and volunteer work. However, the response is substantially incomplete: it does not explain why you want the job, say how you would spend your free time in Australia, or develop the suitability details. The request for interview information does not replace these required points, and the letter ends mid-sentence at “I schedule my time table.” The response is also 51 words below the required minimum. Address each bullet explicitly and add relevant supporting detail, such as your motivation, childcare responsibilities you have handled, and activities you hope to enjoy in Australia.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic letter structure, with an opening, a paragraph about qualifications, and a question about an interview. The ideas within the qualifications paragraph are related, and “Apart from this” provides a simple link to the volunteer experience. However, there is no clear progression through all parts of the task: the motivation and free-time points are absent, and the final sentence is unfinished, so the ending feels abrupt. The paragraphing also does not yet guide the reader through a complete letter. Organise the response into a clear opening, separate paragraphs for motivation and suitability, and a final paragraph covering free time and a polite closing.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the situation, including “degree in Early childhood education,” “two years of experience,” “profession,” and “volunteer.” There are also attempts at more formal expressions such as “enquire” and “vacancy.” However, several spelling errors and unnatural or imprecise phrases reduce accuracy, including “latets,” “famiy,” “filed,” “wokring,” “well renowned,” and “orphanage house.” “Baby sitter job on contract basis” is also less natural than a concise phrase such as “live-in childcare position.” Proofread carefully and choose collocations that fit a formal application letter. A wider range of precise vocabulary for childcare experience and leisure plans would make the letter more effective.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt some longer sentence structures, for example, “Having a degree in Early childhood education and two years of experience, I believe…” This shows an effort to go beyond short, simple statements, and the main meaning is generally understandable. However, control is uneven. In “I believe i have all the skills and professionalism, which is required,” the pronoun needs capitalisation and the relative clause has an agreement problem; the sentence also needs clearer punctuation. “I schedule my time table” is incomplete in context and does not form a finished closing thought. Use complete sentences, check subject–verb agreement and punctuation, and vary sentence patterns while keeping each idea clear.
