Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address the three requested points: you explain your interest in the role, mention affection for children and cooking, and describe exploring Australian cities in your free time. However, the reasons for employing you are mostly general, such as “My love for children is unbeatable”; specific evidence of childcare experience, skills, or responsibility would make this case more convincing. The free-time plan is also brief, and saying you could do “any part time job” does not clearly explain how you would use your time while living with the family. The opening refers to “an advertisement you mentioned,” although the parents placed the advertisement. Develop each point with relevant details and keep the letter focused on the family’s needs.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The letter follows a broadly understandable order, moving from the advertisement to your reasons, suitability, free-time plans, and closing. Connectors such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In addition” help signal the points. However, the ideas are presented in one long, visually unstructured block, so the reader has little guidance between the main parts of the letter. Several transitions feel mechanical, and “Additionally” introduces a free-time point without a clear paragraph break. Repetition of “I like” and “My love” also limits progression. Use separate paragraphs for your purpose, suitability, and free-time plans, and link related ideas more naturally rather than relying on a sequence of basic connectors.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “look after,” “healthy meals,” “confident,” and “culture.” However, the range is limited and several expressions are repetitive or imprecise: “I like children company” and “My love for children is unbeatable” do not sound natural in this context. There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, including “Austrailia,” “Austrailian,” and “tha.” These do not prevent the reader from understanding your overall message, but they reduce clarity and polish. Aim for more precise language about childcare and your interests, and check spelling carefully before submitting the letter.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You communicate mainly through simple sentences, with a few attempts to join ideas using “also” and “so.” The limited range means the letter does not show much control of more varied sentence structures. Errors occur in capitalization and sentence boundaries, for example “Hope you are doing well” is not joined smoothly to the salutation, and “well, You mentioned” incorrectly capitalizes “You” after a comma. Other examples include “I like children company,” which needs a possessive form, and inconsistent capitalization of “I.” These issues are noticeable, although the intended meaning is generally recoverable. Practise accurate sentence boundaries and possessive forms, then combine related ideas into longer sentences while checking punctuation.
