Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You make a limited attempt to address the letter’s purpose: you mention a childcare diploma, your interest in children, and a wish to care for the family’s child. However, the three requested points are not all adequately covered. You do not clearly explain why this particular six-month position appeals to you, and your suitability is supported only briefly by your diploma and daycare assessment, without explaining relevant experience or skills. Most importantly, you do not say how you would spend your free time in Australia; saying you enjoy spending time with children does not answer this point. Develop each bullet with specific, relevant details, and make the letter’s purpose and your plans clear to the parents.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic letter shape, and sequencing words such as “Firstly” and “Moreover” help signal some connections. The ideas are grouped loosely around qualifications and childcare, so the reader can follow the general topic. However, there is no clear progression through all three requested points, and the free-time point is missing. Several sentences are joined awkwardly or leave relationships unclear, such as “Recently i completed my assment in a day care school and now i am looking for a job…” and “When ever i get a chance i go for caregiver homes.” Organise the body into clear paragraphs—motivation, suitability, and free-time plans—and use linking phrases accurately rather than relying on a few basic transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a small range of relevant vocabulary, including “early child care diploma,” “day care school,” and “look after,” which makes the general subject understandable. However, vocabulary is repetitive and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “purche my hobby in real life” does not clearly express your intention, and “caregiver homes” and “carry some snacks when i go for looking them” are unclear in context. Spelling errors such as “writting,” “qualifaction,” and “Austraila” also reduce accuracy. Choose precise phrases for your experience, childcare skills, and leisure plans, and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer sentences with connectors, for example, “Moreover, i love children and i keen to spend my free time with kids.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence structure, verb forms, articles, and punctuation. Examples include “i keen” instead of a correctly formed verb phrase, “I will waiting to hear” and “take care your six year old child.” Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, including the lowercase “i” and the misplaced comma in “which ,can.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning harder to understand. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences while checking verb forms and punctuation.
