Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the three requested points: you say you want the job because you love children, mention childcare training, and describe spending free time with relatives, friends, and visiting events and places in Australia. These details show a relevant response, but the ideas are limited and under-developed, so the letter only partially fulfils the task. For example, “I doing the 1 year course” gives little information about your experience or skills, and the free-time plans are not explained. The statement that the job is “very easy” and the proposed 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. hours do not clearly support your suitability. Develop each point with specific, convincing details and make your reasons for applying clearer.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a basic letter shape, with an opening, several paragraphs, and a closing, and the reader can identify the main topics. However, ideas do not progress clearly within the paragraphs. For instance, the final paragraph moves from free-time plans to the job being easy, then to working hours and a request for a decision, without clear links. Some connections, such as “so” and “Because,” are used mechanically or leave the relationship between ideas unclear. Paragraphs would be more effective if each focused on one task point: motivation, suitability, and free-time plans. Use simple linking phrases and clear references to connect related sentences.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use a small set of relevant words, including “advertisement,” “child care,” “knowledge,” “relative,” and “events,” which helps convey the general subject. However, vocabulary is limited and repeated, and several word choices or spellings make the message difficult to understand, such as “care taker,” “childern,” and “I give me details they send.” Some phrases do not express the intended meaning naturally, including “my near home come stay new family.” Choose precise expressions for childcare experience and your plans, and check spelling and common word combinations. For example, describe yourself as having childcare training and say that you would explore local attractions or attend community events.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

Most sentences use very simple patterns, and attempts to connect ideas often contain errors that make the reader work to understand them. Examples include “I am writing this letter to about a read the advertisement,” “I doing the 1 year course,” and “I should you decide with all family i doing the job.” Verb forms, sentence construction, articles, and agreement are frequently inaccurate, while capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent. There is an attempt to give reasons with “Because,” but the clause is not integrated into a complete sentence. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then combine them with “because,” “while,” or “so that” to add detail.
