Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address all three required points: you explain that you want the role because it is difficult to find similar work at home and because you want to explore Australia, mention childcare training and experience, and describe plans to visit Melbourne’s libraries and see the country. These details keep the letter relevant. However, the reasons for employing you are only briefly stated: the two-month experience is mentioned, but you do not explain what you did or give an example of how you care for children. The free-time plan is also somewhat unclear. Develop these points with specific examples, and make your suitability more convincing. The opening and closing are appropriate, though the greeting should match the prompt exactly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter has a recognisable sequence: interest in the job, qualifications, and plans for free time. This helps the reader follow its main purpose, and the paragraph breaks broadly separate the topics. However, the ideas within paragraphs are sometimes crowded together, and links such as “therefore” do not always show a clear relationship between the ideas. The final paragraph combines a childhood dream, libraries, and free time without clearly explaining how these plans fit together. Use clearer paragraphing and connect each point directly to the task—for example, separate your childcare experience from your reasons for wanting the position, then explain specific leisure plans in a final paragraph.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “Childcare services,” “special situations,” “performance,” and “explore Australia.” These choices communicate the general meaning, but the range is limited and several spelling errors make the writing less polished, such as “magzine,” “intrested,” “trainnings,” and “libararies.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise: “a special degree” and “spend my quality time” do not express your meaning idiomatically. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise language about your childcare skills and leisure activities would make the letter clearer and more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including the explanation that you want the job “because” you have difficulty finding similar work and the sentence beginning “therefore.” The main message remains understandable, but errors in articles, verb forms, and sentence construction recur. For example, “I have read advertisement” needs an article, while “often fascinating me” has an incorrect verb form; “whenever, I will have some free time” also uses an awkward tense pattern and punctuation. There are run-on sentences where ideas are joined without clear sentence boundaries. Practise accurate article use and verb patterns, and divide longer sentences so that each relationship between ideas is clear.
