Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You make an attempt to explain your interest, saying the job is a “good opportunity” and could help your career, and you mention caring for the family’s six-year-old child. However, the task’s key points are only minimally addressed: you give no concrete experience or skills that would make you suitable, and your free-time plan is unclear because you say you would do extra work rather than describe activities in Australia. The letter also includes an unsuitable closing, “your son,” for parents you do not know. The response is 148 words, so it falls two words short of the 150-word minimum. Develop each requested point with relevant details, especially childcare experience and realistic leisure plans.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.0

There is a basic attempt to move from your interest in the job to your intentions and then to life in Australia, but the progression is difficult to follow. The opening combines several ideas in one long, unclear sentence, while “after some i had this oppertunity” does not clearly connect to what comes before. The paragraph breaks do not consistently separate the three requested points, and the final sentence shifts abruptly to thanking the parents. Linking words such as “so” are repeated without making the relationships between ideas clear. Organise the letter into distinct paragraphs—motivation, suitability, and free time—and use clear transitions and references so each point follows logically.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “advertisement,” “opportunity,” “experience,” “skills,” and “successful,” which helps communicate your general purpose. However, the range is limited and several word choices or combinations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “work for Australian magazine for someone,” “take my work with honestly,” and “make you proud on me.” Spelling errors, including “opportuines,” “beacuse,” and “australlia,” also reduce accuracy and polish. Aim for precise phrases suited to a formal application, such as describing your childcare experience and explaining how you would spend leisure time. Check spelling and learn common collocations rather than relying on repeated general words such as “job” and “work.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

The response attempts to form longer sentences, but control of sentence structure and punctuation is weak, and errors often make the meaning hard to follow. For example, “I hope you should be fine in this letter i told you that have seen” lacks a clear sentence structure and has problems with tense and clause formation. There are also missing subjects or verbs in “so i would that this job” and “now am very exicted,” as well as inconsistent capitalisation and sentence boundaries. Most ideas are expressed through loosely connected clauses rather than a controlled mix of sentence forms. Practise writing complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check tense, articles, punctuation, and capital letters before submitting.
