Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that, significant hike in online shopping will lead to closing of towns and city cities shops.Online shoping saves time. However, I disagree to this notion because shoppers are unable to check quality and we cannot get product same day.
To commence with, the prominent reason to disagree with this notion is diffrence in quality. To expain it, while shopping online it is difficult to know about the qulality of product. For example, If someone is buying cotton stuff from online site that would be complicated to choose because cotton has wide range of qualities. As a result, when product will arrive it may lead to dissatiscation that is direactly caused by online shopping.
In addtion to this, the another salient reason to this statement is availability of product. To elaborate this, dellievery companies take 1 to 2 working days to deliever the product. To illiustrste it, if some need a 2 peice suit to go to job interview, if he will order online it may take couple of days to get order.I,therfore, physical shops are required to buy anything whenever needed.
In conclusion, online shopping may be easy for people with hectic sechdule but it cannot be compared with store in cities.Because we cannot check quality of product in online store and sometimes delievry of product take to reach at place.I believe that shops or malls are crucial to fullfill daily basic need and they are easily accessible for people to avial anything they need on urgent basic, which help very helpful.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you disagree that online shopping will cause all town and city shops to close. You support this view with two relevant reasons—customers cannot assess product quality directly, and delivery takes time—and the cotton and interview-suit examples help make these points concrete. The conclusion also restates your position. However, the response focuses mainly on disadvantages of online shopping rather than explaining why physical shops will continue to exist alongside it, and the second reason is only briefly developed. The claim that shops are needed for urgent purchases could be extended with a clearer explanation of why this demand would keep stores open. Developing both arguments more fully would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. The progression from product quality to delivery time is easy to follow, and signposts such as “To commence with,” “In addition to this,” and “In conclusion” help identify each stage. This gives the essay a coherent arrangement. To make the organisation more fluent, reduce formulaic transitions and connect ideas more naturally. Some links within sentences are unclear, particularly the repeated “if” construction in the interview example, while the conclusion’s final sentence combines several points without a clear relationship. Use clearer referencing and divide or reshape that sentence so each concluding idea follows logically.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “prominent reason,” “dissatisfaction,” “availability,” and “hectic schedule,” and the reader can generally understand your arguments. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word combinations are noticeable and sometimes make the message harder to process. Examples include “shoping,” “qulality,” “dellievery,” and “avial,” as well as “check quality” and “get product same day,” which need more natural phrasing. Some expressions, such as “salient reason to this statement,” are not used idiomatically. Focus on accurate spelling and common collocations before adding more advanced vocabulary; precise phrases such as “assess product quality” and “receive an order” would improve clarity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and attempts at longer structures, including a conditional example about ordering a suit and a reason clause beginning “because.” The main ideas remain understandable, but complex sentences are often not controlled accurately. For example, “if he will order online it may take couple of days to get order” has an incorrect conditional form and missing articles, while “when product will arrive” also uses an unsuitable future form after “when.” There are further issues with sentence boundaries and punctuation, such as the comma after “argued” and the fragment beginning “Because” in the conclusion. Practise forming conditionals and subordinate clauses, and check articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries during revision.
