Student answer (Band 6.0)

In modern era online shopping become a more popular as compared to the off-line shopping. Day by day people are shifting online shopping. These days because saving a time and money also to be honest I am agree with this statement and I will discuss my agree viewpoint in the upping coming paragraphs.

In this world, every person have a well educated, and they know everything else likely they have knowledge about the phones and Internet, and there are many platforms are available to shopping online. I am talking about in India shopping platforms like Flipkart, Amazon,Miesho and so on. In my perspective in the online platform. Lots of opportunity to buy a new product as well as we have a lot of Collection to buy a product. And we can easily compare the prices with other platform in online shopping.

Furthermore, online shopping a saving time as well as money. In modern era, people have do not enough time go to the market and do the shopping but in Online platform it’s Health to purchase wide range of varieties at their home but on the other side, there are some negative things. Also when I do the online shopping because we do not able check the quality. Sometime we got a wrong size Cloth and so it is hard to return because it’s taking a time maybe in some platform they will return the product button some online platform. They are not allowed to return the product so it is the wasting of money but when we do the off-line shopping, it is easily to return the product and we can wear a clothes and check the size of product and the quality of product.

In conclusion, online shopping is a time, saving and easy to do in a one place on the other side of off line shopping we will check the quality of product and size of product. It will be more reliable, but in my perspective, I would recommend recommended online shopping.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, but the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you mention the convenience of online shopping, the argument regarding whether all shops will close is somewhat neglected. You acknowledge the benefits of physical stores in the third paragraph, which creates a slight contradiction with your initial stance. To improve, ensure that every paragraph directly supports your central argument. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and does not fully synthesize the points made. More depth in explaining why physical shops might survive or disappear would strengthen the response significantly.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'In this world' or 'on the other side of off line shopping'. Transitions between sentences are sometimes abrupt, making the flow feel disjointed. Referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly when shifting between the advantages of online and offline shopping. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words more naturally and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus that transitions logically to the next.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'bad', or 'things'. There are also issues with word formation and collocation, such as 'upping coming' instead of 'upcoming' and 'it's Health to purchase' instead of 'it helps to purchase'. While your meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated vocabulary and the presence of errors in word choice limit the score. Expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary related to commerce and technology would be beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('every person have'), article usage ('the off-line shopping'), and tense consistency. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some run-on sentences and missing commas. While you attempt complex structures, they are often faulty, which affects the overall clarity. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like subject-verb agreement and pluralization before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
