Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, but the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you provide reasons such as time-saving and price comparison, the arguments lack depth and specific, well-explained examples. The mention of Amazon in Canada is a good start, but it is not fully developed to support the argument that all physical shops will close. Additionally, the response falls slightly short of the 250-word minimum requirement, which impacts the overall task coverage. To improve, ensure you expand on your points with more detailed explanations and ensure you meet the minimum word count to fully explore the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices like 'To begin with,' 'Moreover,' and 'To conclude' to link your ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as 'in another words' instead of 'in other words.' The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing is more precise throughout the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'online shopping,' 'home delivery,' and 'price of product.' However, there are instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'in this modern days' (should be 'in these modern days') and 'by use of serve' (should be 'by using services'). To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and a slightly wider range of vocabulary to avoid repetition and improve the sophistication of your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally hinder the flow, such as 'I am completely agree' (should be 'I completely agree'), 'everybody try their best for achieve' (should be 'tries their best to achieve'), and 'people used to the small shops' (should be 'people used to shop at small shops'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent. Increasing your control over verb forms, prepositions, and sentence construction will significantly improve your score.
