Student answer (Band 6.0)
Online marketing become increasingly significant in the human lives as it provides convenient lifestyle to well-beings. Some people believe that online shopping will leads to shut down entire shops in the towns and cities. I am firmly disagree with this notion.
Although, online retails are super convenient, it would not able to replace the importance of local markets.
One of the crucial factor why online shopping is widely spread is that people find its time consuming and convenient way to purchase the products. For example, there are several applications on the phone such as amazon, flipkart and many more for groceries as well which influence individuals to buy valuable things online without commuting. Some people have extremely occupied with their working schedule so they prefer online shopping which takes less time in comparison to buying goods from local supermarkets.
Even though, retail marketing save the time, sometimes online products are not delivered in good conditions and most of the sites are scam to earn money from people they charge before they deliver the goods and exchange their quality with low grade. To illustrate, so many people experience the fraud with such online sites and most of the time they would not deliver the same quality about which they make promises.
Moreover, there are numerous of advantages to buy things from local markets. Firstly, they are in the local city so one can know them personally if something happen with product they take responsibility about that. Secondly, one can check the material before investing money on it. Last but not least, individuals can get fresh food items for grocery not the expired one.
In Conclusion, despite of so many merits of online shopping, local markets are the best source to get trustworthy things.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have clearly stated your position against the prompt and maintained it throughout the essay. You addressed the task by providing reasons for the popularity of online shopping and counter-arguments regarding its limitations. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the point about online scams is a bit anecdotal and could be better linked to the broader economic impact on physical stores. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting arguments are more analytical rather than just listing personal observations, and ensure you fully explore the implications of the prompt regarding the future of all shops.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'One of the crucial factor', 'Moreover', and 'In Conclusion'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as 'Although, online retails are super convenient' (where the comma is unnecessary) and 'despite of' (which should be 'despite' or 'in spite of'). The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the transitions between paragraphs could be smoother to create a more cohesive flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'retail marketing', 'commuting', and 'investing money'. However, there are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'online marketing become increasingly significant in the human lives' (should be 'online shopping has become... in human life') and 'exchange their quality with low grade'. To improve, focus on more natural collocations and avoid repetitive or slightly misused vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('online shopping will leads to', 'retail marketing save the time') and incorrect preposition usage ('despite of'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct verb tense usage, and refining your control over complex sentence structures to ensure they are error-free.
