Student answer (Band 6.0)
I personally do not agree with the statement that, online shopping will one day lead to close all shops in the towns. This is because the physical shops let people try clothes before purchasing. Whereas, online shopping has the disadvantage of not letting people to try clothes.
As far as I am concerned, the In-person shops will never vanished in the future. Even though, online shopping offers too many advantages to the buyers. The advantages such as, browsing all clothes by sitting at home, to check prices and offers without seeking any help, to compare prices of two clothes and most important thing, it saves customers time and resources. Therefore, the customers would not bother themselves by approaching any shopping mall In-person. However, they just order their stuff online and get it delivered at the home.
Whereas, offline shopping requires customer's presence at the store. Although, this process requires customer's time and resources, it gives a better shopping experience. In the store, a buyer can try his favorite clothes and check if it fits well. Offline shopping also allows the individual to check the quality of the clothes and if any damage before paying the bill. Moreover, physical shopping offers best return and exchange facility to their customers by offering on the spot replacement. Unlike, online shopping where the buyer has to put request and wait for the delivery person to come and pick his article. It consumes a long time and leaves customer dissatisfied.
To conclude, despite the fact that online shopping has number of advantages and gives easy experience for shopping, its disadvantages outweigh the advantages, such as, no trial room, unsure about fabric quality and longer return days.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. You have provided relevant reasons for your disagreement, such as the ability to try on clothes and the convenience of immediate returns. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive. For instance, the points about 'time and resources' are mentioned in both the second and third paragraphs without significant expansion. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph introduces a distinct, well-developed argument rather than restating similar concepts. The conclusion effectively summarizes your stance, though it could be more nuanced by acknowledging the growth of online shopping more explicitly before reiterating why physical stores will persist.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Whereas', 'Although', and 'Moreover' to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as starting a sentence with 'Whereas' when it would be better placed as a conjunction within a sentence. Additionally, some transitions feel abrupt. Improving the flow between sentences by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing (e.g., 'this process') clearly points back to the intended antecedent will help improve the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'purchasing', 'dissatisfied', and 'individual'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'lead to close all shops' (should be 'lead to the closure of all shops') and 'put request' (should be 'submit a request'). Some phrasing is also slightly unnatural, such as 'not letting people to try clothes'. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and refining your use of verbs and nouns in combination. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise academic terms would also be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb forms and articles, such as 'In-person shops will never vanished' (should be 'will never vanish') and 'get it delivered at the home' (should be 'at home'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some errors in comma usage. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of modal verbs. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they occur frequently enough to limit the score in this criterion.
