Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's massive growth of world people are shifted themselves towards online shopping instead of offline. This might be leads to the closing showrooms and shops where people can go and purchase their stuff. In my opinion, I'm fully agree on that online platforms makes an massive impact on the shops which are not online.
Firstly, I would like to tell you that their are many shopping site which are helping fashion brands, products related to cosmetic and home. There are certain famous names also like myntra, amazon, flipkart, nykaa and many more. These are platform where people like us like to do shopping and makes us happy. Their services are commendable and brilliant due to which customers are moving towards that.
However, online shopping helps us in providing lots of option within time. In todays hustle we don't have that much time to go shops and travel. It reduce our travelling time and we got our stuff while sitting at home only. Along with that exchange and refund policies are also good, that makes our shopping more convenient.
Furthermore, in online shopping the products they are showing always the updated and trending clothes, furniture and products which makes everyone up to date. Whether the person lives in cities or town.
In conclusion, I want to mention that online shopping not only making our life happy but also making it easy so that our time , energy and money won't be wasted. Their is a possibility that shops getting shut down in future if the development will happen at the same pace.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that online shopping will lead to the closure of physical stores. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention convenience and time-saving, the arguments remain quite general and lack depth or specific examples of how physical stores might adapt or survive. To reach a higher band, you should explore the counter-argument more thoroughly or provide more nuanced reasons for why physical retail might struggle to compete, rather than simply listing benefits of online shopping.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'However', and 'Furthermore'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally unclear (e.g., 'These are platform where people like us like to do shopping'). The logical progression is present, but the transitions between ideas could be smoother and more sophisticated to improve the overall coherence of the response.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey your meaning, such as 'commendable', 'convenient', and 'trending'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'world people are shifted themselves' and 'makes an massive impact'. These errors occasionally distract the reader. To improve, focus on using collocations more accurately and expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary related to economics or retail trends.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('This might be leads to', 'shops getting shut down'), article usage, and incorrect verb forms ('their are many shopping site'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. You should focus on proofreading for basic tense consistency and pluralisation errors.
