Student answer (Band 5.0)
To begin with i am agree with your words that the growth of the online shopping will kill the small business and small shops. And its not the good that has low impact on old people.
To start with increasing online shopping has significantly growing in the last five years from develop internet services and networking. So i am giving you my fathers business example as that we have our own cloth shop in added that we also manufactured our own cloths and design. however the increasing online shopping will lead to slow down the business because people stop coming to the shop where they can buy that on the tip of the finger by just scrolling down on the mobile screen and also they can have ordered wide variety of the items and so many different design.
While if they comes to shop they have to roaming around different different places for the cloth they need and that caused the time. Hence this is time consuming but you will get what you need and you check that cloth material and size an all the other things. However you cannot do any of this by online shopping yes you will have options to select but what you will not get what you have ordered.
In the end my father has to connect with local app to expand business despite of he does not like this because he know its gonna create the problem afterward the size is not match ,the design is not good etc.. but yeah this online shopping is killing small businesses and it will lead to close the shops.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, but the development of ideas is limited. While you provide a personal example regarding your father's business, the argument remains somewhat repetitive and lacks depth regarding the broader implications of online shopping on urban centers. The conclusion is a bit abrupt and does not fully synthesize the points made. To improve, ensure that each paragraph introduces a distinct, well-supported argument that directly relates to the prompt's premise about the closure of all shops, rather than focusing solely on the challenges of running a small business.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow between sentences is often disjointed. You use some cohesive devices like 'To begin with' and 'However', but they are sometimes used incorrectly or in a way that makes the progression of ideas feel mechanical. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'that caused the time', which makes it difficult for the reader to follow your argument. To improve, focus on using transition words that accurately reflect the relationship between your ideas and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive, which limits the impact of your argument. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and incorrect word choices, such as 'i am agree with your words' instead of 'I agree with the statement' and 'at the tip of the finger' instead of 'at their fingertips'. You also struggle with collocations, such as 'caused the time' and 'size is not match'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise vocabulary and idiomatic expressions appropriate for an academic discussion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('if they comes'), incorrect verb tenses ('has significantly growing'), and sentence structure errors ('despite of he does not like this'). The range of structures is limited, relying mostly on simple sentences. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions and conjunctions. Proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect verb forms will also help improve your score.
