Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this techno savvy world, People believe that e-commerce businesses has taken over the offline shopping market by which plenty of shops would be demolished in future. I personally agree with those people due becaves this can save a lot of times and it is very convient for all the shoppers.

First and foremost, The main advantage of online shopping is convience and accesibility. most of the products are now available on websiter and application where people actually have multiple options at the same place. Additionally, people can compare price and products with different vendors. For example, a study at Seneca College shows that 70% of user are now using online platforms due to easy access. As a result, online shop is rapidly growing evrywhere which can affect heavily to the local shops.

Moreover, time is the most crucial thing in this busy world. Online shopping has saved numerous amount time spent on shopping. For an instance, when I was teenager, we did not have access to many websiter to purchase thing online. Consequently, I had to spent bynch of time going to different local shops which is no longer an issue as people can now look at things very easily and order online quickly.

To conclude, local shops would be impact and closed in future because of massive progress in online shopping. As a recommendation, these storer should do online and offline busines to not to loose any of their customers as online shopp is time-saver and very convient for all people.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of the idea that online shopping will lead to the closure of physical stores. The ideas are relevant, focusing on convenience, accessibility, and time-saving benefits. However, the development is somewhat limited. While you provide a personal example and a reference to a study, the arguments could be extended further by discussing the counter-argument or the specific types of shops that might survive (e.g., experiential retail). The conclusion is clear, but the recommendation to combine online and offline business slightly shifts the focus away from the original prompt's premise of total closure.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'First and foremost', 'Additionally', 'Moreover', and 'Consequently' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by mechanical errors and some awkward phrasing, such as 'due becaves'. The referencing is generally clear, but the transition between the body paragraphs and the conclusion could be smoother. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, two body paragraphs, and the conclusion, which helps the reader follow your line of reasoning.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to express your opinions clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'e-commerce', 'vendors', and 'online platforms'. However, there are several spelling errors ('convient', 'websiter', 'evrywhere', 'storer', 'busines') and word choice issues ('demolished' is not the best fit for shops; 'closed' is more appropriate). The range is somewhat limited, and the repetition of basic words like 'online' and 'shopping' suggests a need for more varied synonyms to demonstrate a higher level of lexical control.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, they are frequently marred by grammatical errors, such as 'e-commerce businesses has taken over' (subject-verb agreement) and 'a study... shows that 70% of user are' (pluralization). Punctuation is inconsistent, particularly with capitalization after commas and within sentences. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall clarity and professional tone of the writing. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage would significantly improve your score.
