IELTS Writing Task 2 question
The growth of online shopping will one day lead to all shops in towns and cities closing.
Do you agree or disagree?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the modern era, a common person is busy in their work from nine to five job on whole week because of that on weekend he had tired to doi shopping in store so he would prefer online shopping which is in trending nowadays .There is a good believe that the growing rate of online shopping will close the local shops and big malls . Perhaps it will happen But I am not agree with this statement due to some reason that I will explain in following paragraphs.
To embark with, there are a lot of chances of fraud in online shopping because we do not know the site is original or fake and some time the parcel may changed during delivery. I faced this fraud once and afterward i dislike online shopping I was happen when I was in tenth class and i ordered a wireless headphone from nirmta electronic and when i received the delivery man said first payment then you will opened. After paying the money i opened the box it was empty and when i check the site and looking for number it was fake number site and gmail so i had a loss of 400 rupees then i decided that I will never shop online.
Furthermore, buying cloths into the store helped to check the quality of product as well as the size of product that will help to decide what is good product by feel the product and it give inner satisfaction about the good. where as in online shopping the knife is on the neck until the product will delivered and checked . Lastly, Sone old generation does not know how to use the internet so they prefer to shop offline.
To conclude, the online shopping helps to save the time and power but does not give inner satisfaction and peace until the product will checked by touching so shops will never closed due to online sopping.
