Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this modern era, shopping method has changed rapidly. Although many people believe that the growth of online shopping will one day leads to all shops in village and cities closing is convincing. I think in a reverse manner and disagree with the given statement. My inclination is justified in the ensuing paragraphs.
Out of all the arguments of online shopping will be effect on offline sectors at one day, the strongest one to prove my view is that shops have their own values and identity of selling products also, offline shopping gives you different experience. For example, customers can check the products before buying them, but in online shopping you can not do this. Apart from this, online shopping method will affect to small shops in the future but shops will not completely shutdown as, many people prefer to purchase things offline rather than online, they are not aware of technology and having trust issues.
Furthermore, there are so many things like mobile phones, that people purchase through shops even getting more discounts in online because they have trust issues and scared of fraud. so offline shops in cities and towns will never close in the coming years.
On the contrary, People think that online shopping is becoming popular and all ages of individuals using nowadays. Because of this offline shopping trend will decline in the future. For instance, online shopping is promoting plenty of benefits and younger generation is following this blindly, so this will effect on offline market which leads to all shops in towns and cities closing.
Thus, to wrap up the discussion, it can be said that the growth of online shopping will effect to all shops in towns and cities, but this does not mean that shops will shutdown in the future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you provide reasons such as the 'experience' of shopping and 'trust issues', these points are not fully extended with deep analysis or concrete, real-world examples. The argument in the third paragraph is slightly repetitive of the second. To improve, ensure each body paragraph introduces a distinct, well-supported point rather than restating similar concepts. The conclusion is present but could more effectively summarize the main arguments presented in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices like 'Furthermore', 'On the contrary', and 'Thus', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between 'online shopping method' and 'small shops' could be smoother. The use of cohesive devices is adequate but lacks the flexibility and sophistication required for a higher band. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'offline sectors', 'fraud', and 'decline'. However, there is a lack of variety and precision. Some word choices are repetitive or slightly unnatural, such as 'shopping method has changed' instead of 'shopping habits have changed' or 'effect on' used incorrectly as a verb (it should be 'affect'). To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and a wider range of vocabulary to express complex ideas without relying on basic phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's flow. Examples include 'will one day leads to' (subject-verb agreement), 'will be effect on' (incorrect verb form), and 'all ages of individuals using nowadays' (missing auxiliary verb). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and the correct usage of verbs versus nouns (e.g., affect vs. effect).
