Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some believe that online shopping has gained a great attention in terms of saving time and energy whereas other believe it will impact on the local community with a decline in footfall of the consumers. I partially agree on this statement and will provide my views on it.
In today's time, Most of the people they follow a trend to buy goods online. This results in convience and time saving for those who work in offices or who have a family. Moreover, online shoppig has a wide options to order across the world, even if the particular product in not available in the city or in the country. With the help of AI clothing brands offers to check the fit at home and it has given a consumer an extra flexibility to order and with great discounts. For instance, an eyeware brand like Rayban has a special feature on their website to try on the shades and clear glasses. This gives an upperhand to people to check if that suits them or not. However, shops in local town duly sell the organic products but they are expensive and this is main reason people look for the alernative online.
On the other hand, some people they feel to spend their leisure time in shopping complex or malls as they get the wide range of brands in person. They are keen towards the material and colour of a product which is a drawback in online shopping. Consumer's priority is the comfortability of the prodcut they consume and it is vital for them to visit the stores and check thoroughly. Online shopping cannot compeletey erase this because people still has authenticity issues. For example, clothes for younger children has to be buy in person in order to check the quality and material so that It cannot raise as any skin issues.
In the conclusion, both online shopping and in person shopping has their own benefits and downside. In my opinion it totally depends upon on a person how he want to pursue to purchase.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by presenting a balanced view, though the position could be more clearly articulated. You acknowledge both sides of the argument, which is good, but the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. For instance, the point about Ray-Ban is a specific, relevant example, but the discussion on children's clothing is a bit repetitive. To reach a higher band, ensure that your main arguments are fully extended with more analytical depth rather than just listing features. You have addressed all parts of the task, but the conclusion is slightly vague regarding your final stance on whether shops will eventually close entirely.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices like 'Moreover', 'However', and 'On the other hand' to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the flow between sentences is slightly disjointed. For example, the transition between the benefits of online shopping and the mention of local organic products is abrupt. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing (e.g., 'they', 'this') is always clear would enhance the overall cohesion of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'footfall', 'flexibility', and 'authenticity'. However, there are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'gained a great attention' (should be 'gained great attention'), 'wide options' (should be 'a wide range of options'), and 'comfortability' (should be 'comfort'). Additionally, there are some spelling errors like 'convience', 'shoppig', 'alernative', and 'compeletey'. While these do not impede communication, they limit the score. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and proofreading for basic spelling errors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('Most of the people they follow', 'people still has authenticity issues') and article usage. There are also errors in sentence construction, such as 'clothes for younger children has to be buy in person' (should be 'have to be bought'). While you attempt complex structures, the frequency of these errors is noticeable. Focusing on basic grammatical accuracy and refining your use of passive voice and pluralization will help you achieve a higher band.
