Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you state your position clearly in the introduction, the arguments provided are underdeveloped. For instance, you mention 'hectic lifestyle' as a reason but do not explain how this specifically leads to the total closure of physical shops. The conclusion is also fragmented and lacks a summary of your main points. To improve, you must expand on your arguments with more detailed examples and ensure you meet the minimum length to allow for a full exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. While you use some transition signals like 'To explicate' and 'To elaborate', they are often used mechanically or incorrectly. The conclusion is particularly problematic as it is a list of phrases rather than a cohesive paragraph. To improve, focus on using a wider range of cohesive devices (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence followed by supporting details that flow naturally into the next point.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is somewhat limited and repetitive. You use basic terms like 'increasing' and 'online shopping' frequently. There are also errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'I am agree' (should be 'I agree') and 'constructive developnment' (which is unclear in this context). Spelling errors like 'transations' and 'incresing' also detract from the quality of the writing. To achieve a higher band, try to incorporate more precise vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'e-commerce', 'brick-and-mortar stores', 'consumer behavior', and 'digital transformation'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. While there are some attempts at complex sentences, they often contain grammatical errors, such as 'this will led to' (should be 'this will lead to') and 'they can easily get refund their money' (should be 'they can easily get a refund'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with missing spaces after commas and periods. To improve, focus on mastering subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Practice combining simple sentences into complex ones using relative clauses or subordinating conjunctions to demonstrate a wider range.
