Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent years, it has been a growing trend that buyers purchase and browse products on online selling platforms rather than going to buy in a physical location. There is a plethora of benefits to following this way of shopping. Thus, I firmly agree with the above statement, and the following paragraphs will further elucidate reasons with pertinent examples to support the stated assertion.
To begin with, there is no denying that online buyers are getting a wide range of collections on websites; thus, they like to save time and check out the products by setting at home. And they do not want to travel to physical stores to check out the same things which are already available and easily accessible on online websites. For example, the company Amazon is well known popular nowadays because it offers free home delivery within 3-4 days. Apart from that, it provides a variety of discounts and promotions for people who buy products online during festivals and summer vacations. Furthermore, free return options are provided by many online selling brands, so individuals prefer to go through a hassle-free process of online buying.
On the contrary, many people still go to purchase from stores in shopping malls. The foremost reason behind that is that they are not only getting free trial rooms there but also the option to try clothes before they decide to buy eventually. Additionally, they think the payments are safer if they pay in-store than online payments are risky due to cybersecurity issues, sometimes.
To recapitulate, it is widely accepted that online purchase is an efficient and convenient way to buy things, and its advantages easily overcome its few drawbacks. So, I opine that we should encourage others to go for online shopping as it provides a range of options and collections.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the benefits of online shopping are well-supported with examples like Amazon, the counter-argument regarding physical stores is less developed and lacks specific examples. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented. To reach a higher band, ensure that both sides of the argument are explored with equal depth and that the conclusion adds value rather than just restating the introduction. The position is consistent, but the depth of analysis could be improved to fully satisfy the requirements of a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Apart from that', and 'On the contrary' are used to link sentences and ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally repetitive. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the main arguments. To improve, try to vary the cohesive devices used and ensure that the logical flow between sentences is more natural rather than relying on standard linking phrases.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'plethora', 'elucidate', and 'pertinent', which are used correctly. However, there are also instances of slightly unnatural collocations or word choices, such as 'setting at home' instead of 'staying at home' or 'well known popular'. The range is sufficient to communicate the message, but more precise and varied vocabulary would enhance the quality of the writing. Spelling is generally accurate throughout the text.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'it has been a growing trend that buyers purchase' (awkward phrasing) and 'online purchase is an efficient' (missing article). Punctuation is mostly correct, but there are some minor issues with sentence construction. The majority of sentences are understandable, and errors do not impede communication. To achieve a higher score, the writer should focus on improving the accuracy of complex structures and ensuring consistent use of articles and prepositions.
