Student answer (Band 5.5)
In contemporary society, the issue of online shopping has sparked considerable debate. While some individuals contend that the growth of online shopping would one day lead all shops in towns and cities ,others hold a contrasting viewpoint. Personally, I strongly disagree with this proposition because it offers numerous benefits and contributes significantly to long-term social and economic development.
The primary reason why I support this viewpoint is that the increasingly demand of online shopping is become more convenient but sometimes we cannot get proper products as it shows in picture or description. In an increasingly competitive world, individuals are required to acquire regarding online shopping in order to succeed. Consequently, this enables them to
improve their quality of life and achieve greater professional and
personal success. For instance, many developed nations have demonstrated that many times frauds and scams occur with numerous individuals. As a result, both individuals and society benefit substantially from this approach.
Another compelling argument in favor of this perspective is that get intensive offer from the store would be worthwhile for as specially clothes, medicine and vegetables and many more. Not only does this facilitate to buy from the store, but it also promotes discounts on purchasing. Furthermore, it creates opportunities for future generations and contributes to sustainable progress. A clear example of this can be observed in North America, where everybody can get discounts and 50% promotions on second item to purchase. Therefore, the positive outcomes are undeniable.
In conclusion, although some people may hold an alternative opinion, I firmly believe that offline shopping would be more reliable and convenient because of its considerable advantages for both individuals and society as a whole.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt, but the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you state a clear position, the supporting arguments are often unclear or irrelevant. For example, the paragraph discussing 'frauds and scams' does not logically support why physical shops will remain open, and the mention of 'medicine and vegetables' is a valid point but lacks sufficient explanation. The connection between the growth of online shopping and the future of physical stores is not fully explored, leading to a somewhat superficial treatment of the topic. To improve, ensure each paragraph directly supports your thesis with clear, logical reasoning rather than general statements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, and there is an attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'consequently', 'furthermore', and 'in conclusion'. However, the logical flow between sentences is often disrupted by awkward phrasing and unclear transitions. For instance, the transition from discussing online shopping convenience to 'frauds and scams' is abrupt and confusing. Additionally, some referencing is unclear, such as 'this approach' in the second paragraph, which does not clearly refer back to a specific antecedent. Improving the logical connection between your ideas will significantly enhance the readability and coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'contemporary society', 'proposition', and 'sustainable progress'. However, there are frequent errors in word choice and collocation that occasionally impede meaning, such as 'increasingly demand' (should be 'increasing demand') and 'get intensive offer' (should be 'receive attractive offers'). Some phrases are also repetitive or imprecise, such as 'many times frauds and scams occur'. To reach a higher band, focus on using collocations more accurately and expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary to express complex ideas with greater precision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'is become more convenient' (should be 'is becoming'), 'as it shows in picture' (should be 'as shown in pictures'), and 'facilitate to buy' (should be 'facilitates buying'). Punctuation is generally functional, but some sentences are clunky or grammatically incomplete. While these errors rarely prevent the reader from understanding your general point, they are frequent enough to lower the score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of verb forms to improve your accuracy.
