Student answer (Band 6.5)
The online shopping is begin to rival traditional shopping as the best way to shop in our day-to-day lives. I believe that this tend will continue, and the digital shopping will soon be just as important as conventional buying.
On one hand, I believe that old methods of shopping will continue to be a vital source of buying goods, even in the internet age. Firstly, shops are the most traditional means of purchasing products, and not everyone wants or is able to to use the online mode instead. For instance, old people or those in rural areas might not have the ability or opportunity to go online, while many of us simply prefer going outside to shop to get a riveting experience even if we do have internet access. Secondly, shops can be trusted as reliable source of products because they employ professionals which assist in product selection. Finally, many people like the experience of in-person purchase of goods after checking their quality rather than looking them at computer screen.
However, the digital shopping is likely to become as popular as shops for a variety of reasons. The primary reason is that it allows much faster access to items in real-time and wherever we are, and on any gadgets Another key benefit of electronic shopping compared to in-person is the ability to share products information with other people for discussion, return products if possible and even option of giving reviews based on our experiences. For example, online purchase on Amazon gives us option to give reviews which assist other buyers in shopping.
In conclusion, I disagree with the view that online shopping will eventually leads to closure of all shops because I believe that the traditional shops provide riveting shopping experiences and professional expertise to customers which cannot be overlooked.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. You have provided relevant reasons for both sides of the argument, such as the tactile experience of in-person shopping versus the convenience of digital platforms. The ideas are extended and supported with examples, such as the mention of Amazon reviews. To reach a higher band, ensure that your conclusion directly addresses the prompt's specific claim about 'all shops' closing, perhaps by acknowledging that while some niche shops may close, others will adapt. The development is generally balanced and logical.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'On one hand', 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'However' to guide the reader through your argument. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas. However, there are some minor issues with referencing and flow, such as the sentence 'on any gadgets Another key benefit', where a full stop or conjunction is missing, causing a slight disruption in the progression of ideas. Overall, the structure is clear and easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'riveting experience', 'professional expertise', and 'real-time'. There are some minor inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'digital shopping' (which is usually referred to as 'online shopping' or 'e-commerce') and 'riveting' (which is slightly misused here; 'engaging' or 'satisfying' would be more appropriate). While you attempt to use less common vocabulary, some phrasing feels slightly unnatural. The range is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly without significant difficulty for the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'The online shopping is begin' (should be 'is beginning'), 'this tend' (should be 'this trend'), and 'eventually leads' (should be 'eventually lead'). Additionally, there are punctuation errors, such as the missing full stop after 'gadgets'. While these errors are noticeable, they do not impede communication. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tense usage. Increasing the frequency of error-free complex sentences will help you move toward a higher band.
