Student answer (Band 5.5)

Individuals are often choose smart ways and therefore they do online shopping which makes one day all local shops close. I totally agree with that because everything is easily available online.

The main primary reason is that, because of technological advancement everything is available on fingers. For example, nowadays, there are a plethora of websites and apps where, people can do shopping without wasting their time and energy. In addition to that they do not have to take any special leave from work, and spend whole day at shopping. consequently, nobody likes to go on shopping malls and other local shops. As a result, they do not have a that much customers to running shops.

Moreover, not only cloths and any personal items, but also furniture like sofa, bed, television, easily can buy with guaranty. Beside that, they also offer return policy plus refund that is the big advantage for shoppers. However, It has some negative effects as well such as a nowadays hacking is a common crime, people often spend their money on wrong website which stolen their money and also big risk of taking personal information.

In some chances old citizens prefer shopping with store because they do not use that much technology. Hence, they do not know how to shopping online. plus they believe if they go in shops they can check material or quality whatever they are buying and can trust them. Also they can do bargaining

In a nut shell, technology made our life easy to access and useable without a shadow of dout.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of the statement. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention technological advancement and the convenience of online shopping, the arguments lack depth and specific, well-explained examples. The counter-argument regarding older citizens is relevant but is not fully integrated into the overall argument to explain why it might not prevent the eventual closure of all shops. To improve, ensure that each paragraph provides a more thorough explanation of the 'why' and 'how' behind your claims, rather than simply listing features of online shopping.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'consequently' and 'as a result' are used in a way that feels repetitive, and some transitions between sentences are abrupt. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the use of 'they' in the second paragraph, which does not clearly refer back to a specific noun. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will help the flow of your ideas significantly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'available on fingers' (instead of 'at one's fingertips') and 'do not have a that much customers'. You attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'return policy' and 'refund', which is positive. However, there are frequent errors in word choice and collocation that occasionally make the meaning slightly unclear. Focus on learning common collocations rather than individual words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('Individuals are often choose'), incorrect verb forms ('running shops'), and missing articles. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with capitalization after commas and the use of commas themselves. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to distract the reader and indicate a lack of control over complex structures. You should focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage.
