Student answer (Band 6.0)
Due to the advancement in technology, the trend of online shopping is increasing day by day. Many individuals believe that online shopping will become a reason for closing all traditional shops in towns and cities. But i disagree with this statement and i will explain my view pionts in my upcoming paragraph.
First and foremost reason is many people love to do shopping from shops because they want to check the quality and try clothes which is not possible in online shopping. during online shopping consumer always worried about the quality of thing and the size mostly when they buy any expensive products. for example when any consumer want to buy any laptop from online they have to just check online review some time its hard to believe on them because some are positive or some are negative. but when they go to any shop so they will communicate with the salesman and check variety of laptop by using the demo ones then they trust on the shop because they provide warranty and exchange offer with in few days.
Moreover, when people shop from online they have to wait for many days for their order but other side when they go to market for shopping they buy things immediately which they want. shopping from online is the best way to go outside and spend some quality of time with friends and family. Mostky women believe that when they go outside for shopping they feel relaxed and they forgot their all worries. It is the best activity to refresh the mind for some individuals. However, their is few benefit of online shopping. Nowadays people have very hectic schedule. Some time they have no time to go outside for shopping so they can buy every thing online by sitting their comfotzone at home.
In conclussion, although online shopping have significant impact on traditional shopping, but i do not believe it will lead to close the shops from cities and towns. because traditional retail offer experience and services that online shopping cannot fully provide.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have clearly stated your position and addressed the prompt by providing reasons why traditional shops will survive. The ideas, such as the ability to check product quality and the social aspect of shopping, are relevant and supported with examples. However, the development is somewhat limited; for instance, the point about online shopping being beneficial for busy people is mentioned but not fully integrated into your argument against the prompt's premise. To reach a higher band, ensure that every point directly reinforces your central argument and avoid minor contradictions in your reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices like 'First and foremost,' 'Moreover,' and 'In conclusion' to signal the structure. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the flow between sentences is slightly disjointed, such as the transition into the counter-argument about online shopping benefits. Referencing is generally clear, but the paragraphing could be more sophisticated to better highlight the progression of your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'advancement in technology,' 'traditional retail,' and 'hectic schedule.' However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'view pionts' (viewpoints), 'do shopping' (go shopping), and 'believe on them' (trust them). Additionally, there is some repetition of basic words. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensuring correct spelling, as these minor errors occasionally draw attention.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in basic grammar, including missing articles (e.g., 'check variety of laptop'), subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'online shopping have'), and punctuation issues. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they are frequent enough to impact the overall fluency. To improve, pay closer attention to verb forms, pluralization, and the correct use of articles.
