Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of the statement. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention the convenience of online shopping and the availability of variety, the argument that all physical shops will close is a strong claim that requires more nuanced justification. The ideas are relevant but tend to be repetitive, and the conclusion simply restates the prompt without adding depth. To improve, ensure you explore the counter-argument (e.g., the social or experiential value of physical stores) to provide a more balanced and comprehensive discussion, which would help in achieving a higher band score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'First and foremost', 'Secondly', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion' to link your points. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly repetitive. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'owing to with single click', which disrupts the flow. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices and ensure that the transition between sentences is smoother and more natural.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'denizens', 'workaholic', and 'phenomenon'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'trend of online shopping has became first priority' (should be 'has become a top priority') and 'protect them to spend penny on worst things' (should be 'avoid wasting money on inferior products'). There are also spelling errors like 'phnomenon', 'multipule', 'oder', and 'conculsion'. Improving your accuracy in word choice and checking for spelling will significantly enhance your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, they often contain grammatical errors that affect clarity, such as 'masses special working women are enjoy the online shopping' (should be 'many working women enjoy online shopping'). There are frequent errors in verb tense, article usage, and prepositional phrases (e.g., 'the workaholic lifestyle of masses'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage to improve your accuracy.
