Student answer (Band 6.5)
There is a trend that is growing with a fast pace in the world nowadays, shopping through online websites. An argument is raised on basis of this, all the physical stores will be diminished one day due to growing ecommerce businesses. However, I disagree with this statement and the reasons behind my believe will be explained in upcoming paragraphs.
No doubt, in this cut-throat competitive era, everyone is running to earn their livelihood and have no time to go on physical stores and they prefer shopping online. This is not fruitful all the time because sometimes the quality of products received via ordering online is low and they are not worth the money spent. Also, it is hard to check the actual sizes of the product especially, while ordering clothes every brand have different levels of measurement which makes difficult for the consumers to find right size for them. Hence, it is risky and create double work of returning the product.
Moreover, shopping malls are used as source of amusement because individuals spend their weekends with family and friends at there. Most people prefer to shop on the outlets as a leisure activity with family which strengthen their bond. Furthermore, variety of products provided by markets are much more than online websites. People can choose and try whatever their need is.Therefore, e-shopping cannot take the luxury of shopping at markets away.
In conclusion, although shopping online saves a lot of time and efforts, yet, shopping at physical stores is irreplaceable. In my opinion, doesn't matter how busier people are getting nowadays, they still love shopping by going to markets and spend time with their loved ones.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the task and maintains a clear position throughout. You have provided relevant reasons for your disagreement, such as the social aspect of shopping and the practical issues of online sizing. However, some ideas could be developed further. For instance, the point about 'variety of products' in physical stores could be expanded with a concrete example to strengthen the argument. The conclusion effectively restates your position. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully explored with more depth rather than listing several points briefly.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion' to signal the progression of your ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing and sentence flow, such as 'at there' in the second paragraph, which is grammatically incorrect and disrupts the flow. Paragraphing is used appropriately, and the central topic of each paragraph is clear, which helps the reader follow your argument without difficulty.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including phrases like 'cut-throat competitive era' and 'irreplaceable'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'diminished' (which usually refers to size or importance rather than the existence of shops) and 'take the luxury of shopping... away'. Additionally, 'believe' is used as a noun instead of 'belief'. While these errors do not impede communication, they prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Expanding your range to include more precise academic collocations would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. Examples include 'every brand have different levels' (subject-verb agreement), 'create double work' (missing subject), and 'doesn't matter how busier people are' (incorrect comparative structure). These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your meaning. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of comparative adjectives, as these are recurring issues throughout the text.
