Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is an undeniable fact that, technology is an inseparable part of modern society, it influence the way people live, communicate and work while offering benefits along with few challenges. However, nowadays, people mostly prefer to do online shopping instead of visiting a local shop that will lead to shut down the store in cities in future. As far as I am concerned I am partially agree with this notion that I will explain in the upcoming paragraphs with my own opinion.
To commence with the agreement points, the primary reason is that, it is time saving and reduce transportation expense. For example, lots of individuals have hectic schedule they do not get time during the day to go shopping mall and purchase goods. For them, it is a convenient option to buy products anytime with the help of digital app any corner of the world within a second. Furthermore, people do not need to spend money on buses fair they can utilize it for other productive work such as education, vacations etcetera.
Moving towards the disagreement points, firstly, spectators can get a chance to do bargaining when they are visiting a town shops according to their budget that is not possible at online stores. Secondly, people have a better idea regarding the quality and fabric of the products that is quite challenging to predict from the images.
According to my point of view, both play an own role in individual life that help them to balance their personal and professional life by adopting a suitable option.
In the summation, although online shopping have a number of advantages but it comes with few drawbacks that cannot be ignored. It is the responsibility of the individuals to take a mindful decision that is best suitable for them.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the growth of online shopping and the potential closure of physical stores. You clearly state a position of partial agreement. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention that online shopping is time-saving, the explanation could be more detailed. The conclusion is a bit generic and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is supported by more specific, extended examples rather than brief statements. Your position is clear, but the depth of analysis needs to be more consistent throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Furthermore', and 'Moving towards'. However, some transitions feel mechanical, and the flow between sentences is occasionally interrupted by grammatical errors. Referencing is generally clear, but the connection between the introduction and the body paragraphs could be smoother. To improve, try using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that the progression of ideas within paragraphs is more fluid, avoiding repetitive sentence structures.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'hectic schedule', 'convenient option', and 'productive work'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'buses fair' (should be 'bus fare') and 'spectators' (which refers to people watching an event, not shoppers). Additionally, 'partially agree with this notion that I will explain' is slightly awkward. To achieve a higher score, focus on using more precise collocations and avoid repeating basic words. Expanding your range to include more topic-specific academic vocabulary would also be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation, such as comma splices ('...part of modern society, it influence...') and subject-verb agreement issues ('it influence', 'online shopping have'). Articles and prepositions are also occasionally misused, such as 'go shopping mall' instead of 'go to a shopping mall'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall fluency and accuracy of the writing.
