Student answer (Band 6.5)
Some individuals believe that physical stores are going to close in the cities due to the growth of online shopping sites. According to me, the reputation of real stores will be remained same after the huge popularity and usage of online stores. To begin with, shopping through online websites has become extremely popular due to modern technology and globalization. However, physical stores have their benefits and usage; for example, several people visit the superstores and malls almost every day. This is because these stores are not just for shopping; some people visit these stores with their friends and family members to spend some quality time and make their body relax and rejuvenate. This is a way to enjoy their weekend and do some special activities. In addition, I feel that a person can't decide the size of their clothes without trying them on. On online sites, buyers can only see the pictures of the products and just imagine how this outfit is going to look on them. Furthermore, they are not able to see the quality of the items, which is the most important thing that a person notices while buying something new. In comparison, real stores offer the option of trying on and checking the quality for customers, so that the clients don't feel any inconvenience after purchasing any products. In conclusion, the importance of physical stores, supermarkets, and malls is expected to increase in the future because of their alternative uses, like spending leisure time with their loved ones and for exploring.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against the total closure of physical shops. The ideas are relevant, focusing on the social aspect of shopping and the practical necessity of trying on items. However, the development is somewhat limited; while the points are clear, they could be extended with more specific examples or deeper analysis to reach a higher band. The conclusion reinforces the position well. Overall, the response is focused and maintains a consistent stance throughout, meeting the requirements for a Band 6.5 or 7.0, but it lacks the depth of argument required for the higher bands.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central theme. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'However', 'In addition', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. While the flow is generally smooth, some transitions feel slightly mechanical. The paragraphing is appropriate, and the progression of ideas is easy to follow. The use of referencing is generally clear, though some sentences could be linked more fluidly to improve the overall cohesion of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There is an attempt to use some less common vocabulary, such as 'rejuvenate' and 'inconvenience', which is positive. However, there are some awkward collocations and phrasing, such as 'reputation of real stores will be remained same' and 'make their body relax'. These errors do not impede communication but indicate a need for more precise word choice. To reach a higher band, the student should focus on more natural collocations and a wider range of sophisticated vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'will be remained same' (passive voice error) and 'a person can't decide the size of their clothes' (subject-verb agreement/pronoun reference). While these errors are noticeable, they do not prevent the reader from understanding the message. The punctuation is generally correct, but the range of complex structures is somewhat limited. Increasing the variety of sentence types and ensuring greater accuracy in verb forms would help improve the score in this criterion.
