Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this modern scenario, the environment of every sector, such as medical, business and marketing, has changed, and this is due to the advancement of technology. Due to the arrival of the internet, shopping habits have also changed. There is no doubt that online shopping leads to shops closing. I agree with this phenomenon. In this essay, I will discuss some major reasons for this in the following paragraphs.

Primarily, people can get more than thousands of products. Thus, people have more choices. They can easily get the things according to their wants and needs. Meanwhile, one major reason is that people do not need to go outside and visit hundreds of shops. Every person has a hectic schedule, and they do not have enough time to visit the shops. Thus, they do online shopping. They can select the products, and the product is deliever to their homes in just 2-3 days.

Furthermore, Individuals can compare prices. They can surf the websites and find the products at reasonable prices. For example, the price of the juicer is $180 on the Amazon site, but it is available for just $150 on Shein. There is no difference between the brands. Ultimately, people can go with the lowest price. Every person wants to save money.

In the end, there is no doubt that online shopping platforms are the main reason for the death of shops in towns and cities. Consequently, shopkeepers have lost their source of income. Nevertheless, online shopping is very convenient for individuals as they can get a lots of benefits from the online shopping platforms.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully incorporating terms such as 'advancement of technology', 'shopping habits', 'hectic schedule', and 'reasonable prices'. There are some awkward phrasings or minor lexical inaccuracies, such as 'deliever' (a spelling error) and 'get a lots of benefits'. While the writer attempts less common vocabulary, control over collocation and word formation is sometimes inconsistent.
