Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the contemporary world, people have started exploring online shopping ways instead of visiting stores offline and one day this might result in a complete shut down of all shopping centres in towns and cities. I agree to a large extent that in approaching years, shopping from shops, malls and retail centres will decline significantly due to the multiple options available online, exploring several websites, and investing minimum time in shopping.
The primary reason in incline growth of internet shopping is numerous options and exploration. Shopping through online websites gives an opportunity to explore varieties fabric including customer's reviews which assist people in picking-up the right costume for themselves. Exploring through several clothe's websites doesn't just save time and money but its also flexible. Additionally, online purchasing unlike offline shops, is not restricted to operating time, a long queue for billing, and few numbers of options. For example, a full-time working woman has limited time to shop for herself, instead, she can explore several dresses online conveniently sitting in washroom, lunch-breaks or during travelling.
Another fundamental reason of rapid increase of online shopping is time. Nowadays, everybody is in a rush maybe for work, parties, meetings, conferences and colleges. Most of the youth wants to save time and invest it effectively. Shopping offline costs maximum time and is also bound to timings. Loosing time while shopping may lead to wrong selection of clothes and then invest more time in exchange and getting another one. For instance, a person who needs an urgent dress for a party but has limited time, buys less favourite dress due to the time restriction and long queues in the centres.
Though one cann't deny the importance of online shopping because of the flexibity of trying it on the spot and choosing the correct size.
In conclusion, Although online shopping has its own advatanges, offline shopping will always remain at the top providing flexibility, multiple options, and customer's reviews to decide and select their clothes. I agree to this largely that the increasing growth of internet shopping will lead to the closure of all types of shopping centres in town and cities.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing whether online shopping will lead to the complete closure of all traditional shops. The writer establishes a clear position agreeing to a large extent. Ideas are extended and supported with relevant examples, such as working women shopping during breaks or individuals pressed for time. However, there are some contradictions and conceptual confusions. For instance, in the conclusion and paragraph four, the writer suddenly claims that offline shopping will 'remain at the top' or discusses the 'flexibility of trying it on the spot', which contradicts the earlier stance that internet shopping will lead to the closure of all shopping centres. These minor shifts and slight contradictions prevent the task response from reaching a higher band, placing it solidly at Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay has a clear overall arrangement with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is generally used appropriately to separate different arguments, such as product variety and time management. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical. For example, sentences like 'The primary reason in incline growth of internet shopping is numerous options...' contain awkward transitions and cohesive framing. Furthermore, the single-sentence paragraph 'Though one cann't deny the importance...' disrupts logical progression. Referencing and conjunctions are occasionally repetitive or mismanaged, leading to a Band 6.0 score.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The writer attempts a range of vocabulary suitable for the topic, including phrases like 'contemporary world', 'retail centres', and 'customer's reviews'. However, there are noticeable word choice and collocation errors throughout the text, such as 'incline growth' instead of 'increasing growth', 'varieties fabric', 'clothe's websites', and spelling slips like 'cann't' and 'advatanges'. The lexical control fluctuates between adequate and inaccurate, making Band 5.5 the most suitable descriptor for this criterion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some ambitious structures like relative clauses ('a person who needs an urgent dress...'). However, grammatical errors are frequent throughout the response. Examples include 'online shopping ways instead of visiting stores offline', 'its also flexible' (missing apostrophe), and 'invest more time in exchange and getting another one'. There are also punctuation and article omissions. These errors occasionally create strain for the reader, aligning the grammar with a Band 5.5 performance.
