Student answer (Band 6.0)
Due to th globalisation, the demand and dependency of the people shifted to online platforms for the shopping. Surely, it affected the business for the individuals who do owns the shops but saying that these business owners would be forced to close down their shops is not right. Because, in my opinion the need of the personal touch before buying any commodity would always be there.
On the one hand, where major of the population is shifting to buy most of the products from sites rather then going to the shop itself as it saves the time and also provides the customer with more options and in most cases give them extra freedom to explore and then choose whatever suits his needs and price range more precisely.
On the other hand, despite all the benefits of pricing, the availaibility of different commodity the purchasing of fewer products will always need the personal touch and the presence of the thing itself. For instance, the quality of the fabric can only be determined by the touch itself and this is the one thing which cannot be replicated by the sites.
Moreover, some time individual also lacks the knowledge of the product that he wants to buy and in those cases the presence of the shopkeeper or the help of someone who has knowledge in that specified product is required.
In conclusion, despite all the benefits of online shopping i.e. time saving, better pricing and wider range the existence of personal stores will always be needed and a felling of connectivity and personal touch will not be ever replicated or goes out of demand.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by taking a clear position against the complete closure of physical shops and supporting this view with relevant arguments, such as the need for a personal touch and the inability of online sites to replicate physical inspection of goods like fabrics. The ideas are extended and supported adequately, placing the response firmly at Band 6.0 to 6.5. However, some arguments, such as the point about lacking product knowledge, are slightly under-developed and lack specificity. Furthermore, there are minor generalizations that could be probed further for a higher band. Overall, the writer successfully responds to the prompt with a clear and maintained stance throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a recognizable introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The writer attempts to organize ideas logically, using transition signals like 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion'. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical, as seen in awkward sentence transitions and run-on structures (e.g., starting a sentence with 'Because, in my opinion...'). Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion within paragraphs occasionally falters due to punctuation issues and clunky referencing. These features align closely with the Band 6 descriptor, where organization is generally clear despite mechanical links.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'globalisation', 'commodity', and 'connectivity'. However, there are notable word choice and collocation errors, such as 'dependency of the people shifted', 'who do owns the shops', and 'availaibility of different commodity'. Spelling is mostly accurate with only a couple of slips like 'felling' instead of 'feeling'. The range is sufficient to communicate the writer's ideas clearly, but inaccuracies prevent it from reaching Band 7.0, making Band 6.0 the most appropriate reflection of the lexical control demonstrated.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating an attempt to use relative clauses and conditional ideas. However, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. There are several frequent errors, including article misuse ('Due to th globalisation', 'to the shop itself'), subject-verb agreement issues ('individuals who do owns the shops'), and awkward fragments or run-on sentences ('Because, in my opinion the need...'). While these errors do not severely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent the writing from achieving a Band 6.5, thus fitting the Band 5.5 to 6.0 profile well.
