Student answer (Band 5.0)

To inaugurate, digital marketing become so popular in youngsters nowadays, in my opinion i both agreee and disagree that digital marketing will one day shut down to all shops in towns and cities. The preponderant one is digital marketing has make things so easy as we can buy anything whatever we want and we can get easily at our doorstep. To elaborate further, we get a large variety of products online that we can't get some times in-stores.For example, a guy saw a product online and he go to store and ask for it the shopkeeper says he did not had that product the guy got disappointed and change his to mind to shop online from next time.

Additionally, digital marketing sometimes dangerous to use as so many scams done to individuals as theft steal their whole information .Moreover, the things you purchase online doest appear the same as u saw at the website this make u feel disappointed. Therefore, shopping offline is better as you saw the product and you know what you are purchasing. For example, if you buy some electronic item online and the item is defaulted it takes a long procedure to get a new one or you have to wait for sometime if you have apply for the cashback.

To encapsulate, considering the above analysis one can reach to a conclusion that digital marketing is good but it has its own drawbacks whereas shopping in towns and cities sometimes consider more useful than shopping online. Individuals always get the same product if they shop offline

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by presenting a somewhat clear position that agrees and disagrees with the statement about online shopping. The writer introduces relevant ideas supporting both sides, such as the convenience and variety of e-commerce, contrasted with security risks and return hassles in physical stores. However, the development of these ideas is limited and at times superficial. For instance, the example provided about 'a guy saw a product online and he go to store' is overly simplistic, informal, and borders on anecdotal rather than well-supported argumentation. Furthermore, the position is not consistently well-maintained throughout the essay, leading to an under-developed conclusion. Consequently, the response aligns best with a Band 5.0, as it addresses the task but remains somewhat restricted in idea expansion and formal depth.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay displays basic overall organization with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a concluding remark, which satisfies foundational structural expectations. However, paragraphing is somewhat erratic; for instance, the second paragraph awkwardly groups contrasting ideas about online scams and the benefits of offline shopping together without smooth transitions. Cohesive devices are used, but they are frequently repetitive or mechanical, such as 'To inaugurate', 'Additionally', and 'To encapsulate'. The referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in pronoun usage ('the things you purchase online doest appear the same as u saw at the website this make u feel disappointed'). These issues place the cohesion at a Band 5.0 level, where progression is present but lacks fluidity and accurate connective tissue.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is somewhat limited and repetitive. The writer relies heavily on basic terms like 'digital marketing' (often misused instead of e-commerce or online shopping), 'things', 'product', and 'good'. There are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'agreee', 'make things so easy as we can', 'did not had', and 'defaulted' instead of 'defective'. While the writer attempts some less common vocabulary like 'preponderant' and 'encapsulate', awkward phrasing and word collocation errors restrict the lexical range. These errors cause minor difficulties for the reader, which firmly places this response in the Band 5.0 category.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. Examples of grammatical errors include tense inconsistencies ('digital marketing become so popular', 'scams done to individuals as theft steal'), missing auxiliary verbs ('doesnt appear'), and comma splices or run-on sentences ('For example, a guy saw a product online and he go to store and ask for it the shopkeeper says he did not had that product...'). These frequent errors can cause difficulty for the reader and demonstrate a limited range of reliable structures, resulting in a Band 5.0 score for grammatical range and accuracy.
